How to Create a Corporate Research Product Template

An organization’s corporate research profile will differ based on several key factors; organizational priorities, the sophistication of the corporate giving operation, and the approach of individual fundraisers. Given these variables, a corporate research product should still include;

  1. Biographical information- outlines basic, google-able facts about the corporation

  2. Institutional alignment- describes the focus area of the corporation and how that overlaps with your organization.

  3. Due diligence- check for potential red flags that exist within the corporation or their top executives

Corporate research requests can feel like a puzzle based on information quality, philanthropic alignment, and the capabilities of frontline fundraisers.

Understanding the information gaps that fundraisers have and that exist within your organization can help you identify information you need to include in a final product.
